shipperxBeen a relatively busy day (and I'm a bit tipsy).
I went shoe shopping (need new shoes for my interview) and the moon must still be out of phase (or as my mother said it slightly hysterically "Everyone's life is in CHAOS!" My sister was in Florida with my parents this week when after having had their house here up for sale for the past 8 months they got an offer that was relatively close to what they wanted for the house so they came back to Birmingham to angst over whether to accept the offer. My sister had extreme cold feet. My brother-in-law said he'd found a house that he thought my sister might like so they called me (while I was in the shoe store) wanting me to go with them to look at the house. The house is rather cool. Huge old rambling place that was build in 1914. They finally decided to make an offer on that house and see if they can work something contingent on the offer on their house going through (they want the people who want to buy their house to go up and the house they want to buy to come down. We'll see what happens). So, after my oldest nephew picked up his car from having
the tires changed, middle nephew went off to the movies with his friends, and neice went for a sleepover with a friend, after a few
glasses of wine we decided on an adult night's out.
Went out to Chez FonFon in Southside. (Had wicked cocktails. I had some concoction fall a French 97 which was champagne and cognac(?)
Nice rare grilled tuna (my brother-in-law's grilled lamb was FANTASTIC) then Creme Brule for desert.
Got out of the restaurant to find out that Lexie had been calling us for a good thirty minutes (still not sure how we didn't hear the cell) wanting to come home and not spend the night so we had to swing buy and pick her up from her friends. I had to pick up my car so it's 10:20 and I'm just now getting home.
